BILL TEETER LAUNCHES CAMPAIGN FOR STATE REPRESENTATIVE IN DISTRICT 44 SPECIAL ELECTION
CROW MOUNTAIN, Ark. — Bill Teeter, a conservative Republican, lifelong resident of Pope County, and retired public servant, today announced his candidacy for State Representative in District 44 following the vacancy created by the passing of Representative Stan Berry.
“For decades, Stan Berry faithfully served the people of our community, and I was honored to know him,” Teeter said. “Stan served on the Pope County 911 Advisory Board during my time in public service, and I saw firsthand his commitment to doing what was right for the people he represented. His passing leaves a void, and I am stepping forward to continue a legacy of service grounded in faith, hard work, and conservative values.”
Teeter brings over three decades of public service experience to the race. He has served the people of Pope County as a volunteer firefighter, 911 dispatcher, constable, deputy coroner, search and rescue leader, and Assistant Director of the Office of Emergency Management. In those roles, he worked on the front lines during emergencies, helping protect families, coordinate response efforts, and keep the community safe.
“As someone who has answered the call in times of crisis, I understand what it means to serve,” Teeter said. “This campaign is about continuing that service, standing up for our communities, supporting law enforcement and first responders, and making sure government works for the people, not the other way around.”
A committed Christian, husband, father, and grandfather, Teeter lives on Crow Mountain with his wife, Kristi, a former member of the Pottsville School Board. Together, they have deep roots in the community and a shared commitment to the values that define the River Valley.
